Complaints procedure
Southampton City Council has an internal complaints procedure already in place.
Data Protection Act 1998
The Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) regulates how personal information relating to living individuals is dealt with.
Freedom of information
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 is intended to promote a culture of openness and accountability amongst public sector bodies by providing people with rights of access to the information held by them.
Re-use of public sector information
Guidance to staff and members of the public on the re-using and licensing of council owned information for commercial gain.
The Constitution
Southampton City Council’s Constitution sets out how the Council operates, how decisions are made and the procedures which are followed to ensure that these are efficient, transparent and accountable to local people.
