Customer Service Excellence Awards
We know that many of our customers are impressed with the way our staff deal with them or carry out services for them. If you feel you have received a good service you can nominate a member of staff for a Customer Services Excellence award.
Your Views Count - Health and Social Care
At Southampton City Council, your views count. If you have any complaints, comments or compliments about services provided by our social care teams, then complete the following report.
Environment and Waste
Council owned trees
You can request work on a tree owned by the Council. This includes trees in parks and open spaces, trees in school grounds, trees in the grounds of council houses and on council estates and trees along roads and greenways.
Reporting a Dead animal
Report a dead animal found at the roadside so we can organise its removal
Fly posting or tipping
Please tell us if you spot rubbish dumped on a highway or on land without the owners permission. In addition you can also report any advertising, promotions or commercial activity on any street or traffic sign, or on private premesis.
General nuisances and hazards to public health
There are many nuisances that can affect your quality of life. Please let us know if you are affected by unacceptable noise levels, barking or stray dogs, pests or other hazard to public health.
Public health hazards - Food safety
Let us know if you want to report a health hazard or make a complaint about food premises in Southampton or food products you have purchased.
Public health hazards - Pollution, health and safety
Please let us know if you come across problems with pollution, contamination of land or property (e.g. Asbestos) or any noise or pollution caused by commercial activities.

Missed refuse collection
Let us know if your refuse bin hasn't been collected at the regular time.
Missing / Damaged Refuse Containers
For all missing or damaged containers please make a report. This will be actioned and a replacement will be delivered.
Request for additional or smaller / larger bins
Please use this report to make a request for additional refuse bins.
Request for Recycling / Refuse bags
Refuse and recycling bags are delivered on a 6 monthly basis in October and April. If you have run out just before or during these months please call Actionline on 0800 519 19 19.
Stray Dog
Please report stray dogs to our specialist officers at City Patrol.
Bulky Items Removal
Customers can use this report to inform the city council for removal of large and bulky items.

Roads and Street Problems
Abandoned Vehicles
If you think a vehicle has been abandoned we need to know about it. Please report it to us so that we can arrange for it to be removed.
Actionline
You can use this Actionline card to report street-care, roads, environmental and neighbourhood problems to the Council’s free Actionline service.
Damaged Roads and Pavements
Help us to maintain our roads, paths and pavements by letting us know about potholes, loose kerbstones, cracks or other any other problems you encounter.
Overhanging Vegetation
Please let us know if you have difficulty walking along pavements or driving along highways as a result of hedges or trees growing out into your path or line of sight.
Street Lighting Fault
If you spot a street light that isn't working correctly, please let us know about it so we can put it right.
Other
Benefit Fraud
Last year the Benefit Fraud team at Southampton City Council stopped £1.6million being paid out to fraudsters. With your help we can really make a difference. Please let us know if you suspect someone is committing benefit fraud - any information you provide will be treated in the strictest confidence.
