Registration Service

The Registration Service, based at the Register Office, 6a Bugle Street is responsible for the civil registration of all births, stillbirths, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships taking place within the City of Southampton.

In addition it maintains the registers for all these events plus Church of England marriages dating back to 1st July 1837 and issues certified copies of the entries. It is also responsible for licensing venues where civil marriages and partnerships may be solemnised and conducting civil marriage and partnership ceremonies.
