Tributes and Remembrance

Floral Tributes
Covered raised areas are provided outside each chapel for the display of floral tributes after cremation services. Floral tributes can, if you so wish be given to the local hospitals, nursing homes or churches. Your Funeral Director will carry out your wishes in this respect. Floral tributes remain on display for the day of the service and the following day.
Book of Remembrance
The book of Remembrance, a simple and permanent form of memorial, is displayed in a separate chapel to the right of the main building (East Chapel side). It comprises of beautifully bound volumes for the four quarters of the year, with a page for each date. The entries in these volumes are inscribed annually by calligraphers. The pages are turned daily by the crematorium staff so that relatives can view the entries, which are made under the date of death. Entries may be viewed on days other than the anniversary, but it is advisable to telephone the Crematorium (023) 80766405 beforehand if the date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday to avoid possible isappointment. Also the quarterly volumes are sent away to be inscribed and are not available during that period.
The book of Remembrance Room is open to the public during the following times:
Monday - Friday 8.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays - 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Memorial cards and miniature books, which include individually inscribed copies of the entries, are available for those who wish to keep a personal copy of the epitaph or to give copies to relatives or friends
