St Mary Extra Cemetery
Address: Portsmouth Road, Sholing, Southampton.
St.Mary Extra Cemetery was opened during 1879 by the St.Mary Extra Burial Board. The first burial was on 17th November 1879. Absorbed by Itchen Urban District Council and then in 1922 by Southampton County Borough Council.
Approximately 10,500 burials have taken place since opening. (2005)
