A colourless liquid made by fermenting sugars, fruits, vegetables or grain.

How is it taken?
Drunk

Legal Status
Illegal for under-18s to buy or be bought it unless they’re 16 or 17 and having it with a meal in a bar or restaurant.

• Relaxation and confidence
• Increased sexual arousal
• Slurred speech and blurred vision
• Slowed reaction times and clumsiness
• Blackouts and memory loss
• Headaches and dehydration
• Difficulties with sexual performance

Risks
• Increased risk of accident
• Risk of being victim of assault
• Aggressive behaviour and violence
• Risky sexual behaviour
• Suffocation (by choking on your own vomit)
• Liver damage, brain damage, organ failure and death
