City View issue 58, October 2008
Welcome to City View, Southampton City Council's flagship magazine for residents, businesses and visitors. Each issue is packed full of news, information and tells you what's going on in and around the city.
We hope you enjoy this issue of City View and always welcome any comments or suggestions you may have. We would also like to find out how we can improve. You can write to us at: City View Magazine, Southampton City Council, Civic Centre, Southampton, SO14 7LY, telephone us on: 023 8083 2095, or email: city.view@southampton.gov.uk
So that you can download our magazine easily, we've split it into six bite-size sections, easy to download in PDF format. These are listed below:
In the October issue:
Our centre spread focusses on the improvements that have been made to London Road and we answer some of your questions on the new layout of the road. We also launch our new regular feature 'On the move' - bringing you all the latest news about Southampton's roads.
To celebrate the National Year of Reading, we tell you all about a new reading club, where you can pick up Nick Hornby's latest novel 'Slam' from locations around the city, read it, then leave it somewhere for someone else to find and read.
We highlight the problem of noise nuisance and give you some top tips to get on better with your neighbours. We also tell you about the 'Not in my neighbourhood' week, taking place 13-17 October.
Our 'give us a piece of your mind' spread is all about how we are listening to you and making improvements, that you have suggested, to the services we offer.
