European Public Information Centres (EPICs) are part of a national network launched by the European Commission and located in public libraries to provide clear, factual and accessible information about Europe for the general public. Although their core is easily digestible leaflets which can be taken away, these are supplemented by a wealth of official publishing and statistics, European business and culture, European patents, trademarks, periodicals, CD-Roms and Internet web sites.
