Bandstand Events: Various Dates

Southampton's Bandstand is situated in Palmerston Park in the heart of the city.

It is now drawing to the end of the Bandstand season but 2008 saw a varied programme of local bands and groups including:

  • Ejector Seat Festival - featured some of the best up and coming bands along the South Coast

  • Tiger Tim and his Ragamuffins

  • Big Splash Choir

  • Louche Manouche - jazz and gypsy swing

  • Chris Walker - one of the South’s best known jazz musicians

  • Salisbury Big Band

  • Dixie 5

  • City of Southampton (Albion) Band



Location
Palmerston Park is located within easy reach of the city centre and has good links with public transport. If you are using Sat Nav, the post code for this area is SO14 1LL and it is advisable to use city centre car parks.
